A little dated but very thorough, especially the illustrations. If you are trying to understand how the different variants of the M-16 AR-15 platform work this is an essential book.

drawings are not shop worthy but specified dimensions work if you have a decent mill to work with. Some of this info is available from the patent office but it is a nice resource to start with.
