Great for our book loving family!
By Elisabeth Lee
We love books in our family. We're not library people because once we read a book it becomes part of the family. We've read to our oldest daughter (she's now 13) since she was born and she is an avid reader as well. We're planning on the same for our 1 and 3 year olds. We love the bright pictures in the Eric Carle books and The Grouchy Ladybug is no exception. I love that telling time was incorporated into this book as well and that even though the Grouchy Ladybug asked everyone if they wanted to fight, there never was any fighting. This is a favorite bedtime story for my little ones and the repetitive nature of some of the phrases helps them feel like they're reading too.

One of my all time favorite children's books
By Kate
As a visual artist, I love the pages getting wider as the day grows longer, and the actual track of the sun on the pages. As a mother/grandmother I love the story about being grouchy. I think it's important to discuss children's feelings with them from a very early age. All of us have grouchy days, and it's great to let others know they are loved even when they are grouchy.
